Double Paralympic gold and team silver medalist Hanne Brenner will be in London next summer if her championship horse, Women of the World, is fit. Life Data Labs, the producers of Farrier’s Formula®, is proud to be sponsoring the pair from Wachenheim in south-west Germany.
Hanne is a nine times German para-equestrian champion since 2002 and an individual gold and team silver medalist at the 2009 European Championships in Norway and 2010 World Equestrian Games in Kentucky, USA. Since 2007 she has ridden the horse “Women of the World” and won 15 international medals, including seven golds! The pair also regularly competes successfully in advanced level dressage competitions. Jimmy, my handsome Polish Arabian, had injured his hind leg at the hock after running through a fence. A T- post recoiled and hit his hock at the joint. I thought I would share my own version of a Farrier’s Formula success story. This product has given my horse a second chance at an endurance career.
Last August, I was in a 25 mile limited distance race with a horse I had been conditioning for several months. This was his first limited distance with the plan to move into longer endurance races. Halfway into the ride, my horse stumbled on a rock and then became significantly lame. I should mention that this horse had been getting trimmed via natural balance methods for several years but for this ride, was in shoes on all four due to the rocky footing. Initially upon exam, the vets at the ride thought he had broken his coffin bone because he was so acutely lame, but the x-rays and hoof testing the next day revealed severely bruised heals on both fronts and on about a 6-7 mm thickness of sole on both fronts. This horse had extremely thin soles, despite natural balance trimming. This was not good news for an up and coming endurance prospect. Continue reading “Jonna”
Ace has been on Farriers Formula at replenishment level for about 2 years now (still has a small bit of separation so I haven’t reduced to maintenance level), and Life Data Forage Balancer for about a year.
But I was remiss in not telling you earlier, that your products really are amazing. When I first moved Ace from his boarding barn where he was stalled about 20 hours day and used only in arenas, to a private home with 12 hours of turnout, his feet came apart in chunks — literally — one inch pieces of hoof just missing. I was sick with worry. The farrier had to trim every 3 weeks to keep the chunks in check, and started a hoof supplement. Not much improvement within 9 months. At my farrier’s recommendation, I tried your product instead. Almost immediately, he got nice new growth and within 6 months he had new beautiful feet.
