“Dr. Scott Gravlee gave me excellent advice that made a huge positive difference in my 16-year-old Dutch Warmblood’s hooves! He has never had strong hoof walls and my highly skilled, very knowledgeable and determined farrier, Ron Kass, Jr., has struggled with keeping his feet from falling apart. Ron encouraged me to use Farrier’s Formula from the beginning when my horse, Scannie, was 7 years old. Over the years, Ron has built Scannie’s hooves up with acrylic and used glue-on shoes. Ron struggled when Scannie would wiggle and pull his leg away. He would spend more time on Scannie than on the other horses in the barn. His patience and perseverance were truly remarkable.

In 2018, our little 25-year-old Arab mare, Rosy, was diagnosed with severe Cushing’s.  With her numbers being very high, the vet decided to put her on medication for Cushing’s.  Unfortunately, the pills made her extremely sick so we lowered her dose to a half a pill every other day, but it was still making her sick.  With her not feeling well, she stopped eating and had the runs. Since she was not eating, she lost a ton of weight and was at a body score of 2.  With all of this not working, we were ready to put her down. Continue reading “Carmel G.”

I would like to thank you very much for your advice and recommendation to feed Breeders Formula® to my dog Leo.

My small miniature Pinscher is five years old. A growth appeared on his right lead at the age of 1 ½. Everyone presumed that this was a wart and would eventually disappear, but that was not the case. At the beginning of this year the growth became larger and it was necessary for Leo to undergo an operation and have it removed. After the op, the growth was diagnosed as a mast cell tumor. Andy is a 9 year old Thoroughbred gelding who has been my partner in crime since he was 4. He serves as both my eventing/showjumping horse and my foxhunting horse, though he much prefers foxhunting to competition! This past summer we noticed he was having trouble sweating in the extreme heat of our southern climate.  We tried everything from a commonly used product to beer with only minimal positive results. My experience with Life Data® products has been nothing short of amazing. My barrel horse, Fame, is a 6yr old QH gelding that I’ve owned since he was 2. Fame has a slight pigeon toe, bad hoof walls and no growth. So, it’s been a chore getting and keeping him sound. Continue reading “Annie J.”

Sucha Sweetie Too is a 23 yr old QH mare. My mom, Sandra, has owned her since she was around 9 yrs old.

I couldn’t count the abscesses Sweetie has suffered through; horrible ones on front and back feet, out her toes, up and out through the coronary, out the bulbs of her hooves, so many that I think she has had more recovery time than riding time. She also suffered from White Line Disease and chipped coffin bones, which contributed to her lameness. Continue reading “Sandra M.”

Maggie and Rocky

Rocky Testimonial

Rocky, my 15-year-old OTTB, always seemed just a little bit off on his left foreleg.  He has huge osselets in both front fetlocks, and his left front hoof is a bit clubby, so a slight lameness was never unexpected.  About once a year he would come up three-legged lame due to an abscess in that left hoof, and he had a pesky crack that ran vertically from his coronary band to the ground which just never seemed to go away.  But last year, when he came up with two abscesses in a row, I decided to have him x-rayed to see if there was something else causing the problem.  That’s when he was diagnosed with a keratoma, a rare benign tumor that continues to grow inside the hoof and which must be surgically removed.
