In November 2012 I bought my horse Wayamo (Waikiki I from Weltmeyer x Disco-Tänzer), a Württemberg gelding who is now ten years old. Unfortunately Wayamo was underweight with an uneven distribution of muscle when I bought him. His hooves were the most worrisome problem because they were in an alarming state: various misalignments, poor horn quality and very thin soles. Continue reading “Ann-Kathrin H.”

Holly’s Story
I took over the upkeep of Holly from a foster home in Hamburg in April 2016. She came from an animal welfare kennels in Russia and was just eight months old at that time. Holly had a very dull coat with flaky skin and was constantly scratching herself. At the Hansepferd event I acquired a package of Breeders’s Formula and fed it to her every day until it was used up. My horse Max is 24 years old now. I have owned him since he was four. I ride him mainly for leisure. From the very beginning he suffered with skin problems, in the sense that he developed recurring spots of crusty scabs on his body. My vet recommended contacting Ms. Zetsche of Life Data Labs who had a look at him and advised me about his feeding regime. Since March I am feeding Farrier’s Formula Double Strength which improves hoof and skin quality from the inside while treating the scabby areas with Farrier’s Finish to combat the fungal and bacterial infection. “So I saw a story posted online about a horse and her hoof growing back and I was amazed at the results! I currently have a mare that fell through a cattle gap and has had to have half of her hoof removed and we are currently going through a rough stage with her hoof and hopeful she will recover from it!
Your products are doing a wonderful job so far!!! I have seen extremely wonderful growth so far.” Continue reading “Rachael C.”

UNCLE SI (aka Rusty), An 11 year old bay Q.H. came into the local animal shelter as a cruelty case. He was emaciated, teeth were in horrible condition, and he had a broken spine and a useless tail from the break. It was suspected by his young owner he was suffering from EPM but he wasn’t! After we had him seen by the vet and I started him on proper course of action…… teeth floated, wormed, good food and hay (which he hates-lol), proper rest along with rehab, and Farrier’s Formula Double Strength Plus Joint supplement, we got his owner to sign him over to me. The following is a letter to farrier Darren Owen CF, APF and has been reproduced with the author’s permission.
Hi Darren,
I wanted to give you an update on my observations on both Suri and Pooter since they both started on Farriers Formula DS with Joint. I have just now finished the first tub you so kindly arranged for us to try. Continue reading “Horses Helping Heroes Project”

Horse Osteopath
Last Friday I moved to another stable with my 14 year old Hanoverian gelding. Prior to the journey I gave my horse Compose. I was astonished by the effect which it had on my horse and hardly recognized him. He stepped into the trailer totally at ease, as if he did it every weekend; his last trailer trip was almost three years ago. Unloading was no issue either, he behaved like a pro – previously he would storm out backwards from the trailer. On arrival he surveyed his new surroundings and was really laid back. This is very unusual for him because he is normally extremely excitable and nervous. Continue reading “Nicole R.”

I bought Indi (race name Balendi) in October 2015. He is a Thoroughbred, who finished his racing career at the age of 3. He was born November 2011. When I got him he had just started his re-education after being turned out for 6 months. His hooves seemed healthy although maybe a little soft. Continue reading “Tina B.”

As you know I own three lovely Shetland Ponies. I only used Compose when transporting them and on another occasion for a visit to the vet for a vaccination. All went very well.
Recently, the vet came to do their teeth. Normally, this visit ends up with an upset vet, stressed out ponies and an exhausted me!
However, on this occasion I decided to give each pony the recommended amount of COMPOSE, one and half hours before the planned treatment. I lead them over to the main stable yard where they have never been before. Usually, I keep the ponies 24/7 out on a field. They were well behaved and calm during the journey. Amazingly, even the road traffic and a flock of loud calling guinea fowls running around did not disturb them. Continue reading “Heidi”
