I had never had the pleasure of owning a horse before but in 2014 I decided to take the plunge and bought a beautiful chestnut quarter horse. Orange Crush does a little of everything, hunter, lower level dressage and trail. One thing I noticed right away is that this horse had nice feet. He was from northern Virginia where the land is very hilly, and the pastures are therefore dryer. Shortly after he came to Virginia Beach his feet began to change.

They became shelly and very soft from the wet environment in our area. After reaching out to my vet, he suggested I contact Darren Owen. Not only did Darren begin shoeing my horse, but he came up with a solution to deal with the feet problem at hand. I immediately put him on Farrier’s Formula® Double Strength. Within months I noticed a tremendous difference. His feet became harder and growth was so much quicker. While continuing to use Farrier’s Formula® Double Strength, Darren and I discussed the Farrier's Formula® DS Plus Joint. I honestly could not believe the difference the joint remedy made. I had previously injected my horses hocks every 12 to 18 months as a rule to reduce inflammation and improve performance. When the vet preformed a routine flex exam, he concluded we did not need any injections. I am 100 percent certain this is due to Farrier's Formula® DS Plus Joint. Thanks to Darren, my horse now has healthier feet and joints. Best of all I now have a healthy happy horse.
